Our take: the Forward Deployed Marketer needs to work side by side with the Forward Deployed Engineer. The FDM grounds the build in business and marketing strategy. The FDE grounds the strategy in technical reality and brings implementation ideas back to the team. Together, they create better idea babies.

In our Single Brain pilots, the FDM is the well-rounded marketer who can speak to both business and marketing strategy — the person who just seems to get it. We are extending the same model into Forward Deployed Sales so pipeline, follow-up, service, and revenue cadence work from the same operating memory.

Marketing

Forward Deployed Marketer

Turns the Single Brain into positioning, content, campaigns, lifecycle, GTM strategy, and marketing execution.

  • Understands business models, offers, funnels, customer journeys, and buyer psychology
  • Can translate strategy into campaigns, assets, prompts, and weekly execution
  • Comfortable working side by side with AI builders and client operators
Sales

Forward Deployed Sales agent

Turns the Single Brain into pipeline action, account prep, outreach, follow-up, service workflows, CRM discipline, and revenue cadence.

  • Understands sales process, lead management, follow-up, objections, and CRM hygiene
  • Can build repeatable sales motions from strategy, customer context, and deal feedback
  • Keeps marketing, sales, and service execution connected to one operating memory
Engineering

Forward Deployed Engineer

Grounds strategy in technical reality, builds the systems, and brings new implementation ideas back to the commercial team.

  • Can build dashboards, automations, workflow apps, and integrations quickly
  • Understands human review, permissions, data boundaries, and healthcare-safe workflows
  • Works with FDM and FDS operators to turn ideas into usable systems
